It’s beautiful when you take it out of the box but it is only 50percent mohair and it pilled very quickly and looks just awful. I bought two to drape over two wing hairs. I’m sorry I used one as I now can’t use it for the chair because side by side it looks awful. So I will keep that one for the sofa. I recommend you buy 100 percent mohair though directly from the source in South Africa where the mohair comes from. They are twice the price and while you won’t be shed free it’s holding up beautifully

This is a very high quality and beautiful throw - well worth the cost. The orange (ginger) is true to the image (not a rust or burnt orange)and the sheen adds a nice enhacement to the color. The length/width is perfect coverage when stretched out on the couch and the light weight provides comfortable warmth. Only the pile (short surface hairs) are 100% mohair but the 13% wool and 9% nylon threads should add stability to this throw which I expect to use for many years. I will be purchasing another color for my bedroom.

I had 2 BEAUTIFUL and well-made mohair throws that were quite expensive ($300 each) but my maid put one in the washer/dryer, which ruined it, so I wanted to replace it, without spending another $300. This item, in the description,.claims to be 78 percent mohair, but is not; it's 50-something, plus wool and nylon, as another reviewer stated. I ordered it in the "Pebble," and the color was exactly what I wanted, but the quality is just not there. It has a light feel, and is thin, and "see-through," as another reviewer described. There are no long hairs sticking up, as compared to my other, nicer and more expensive throw, which gave it a fluffy, luxuriant look and feel. The sides are not finished, meaning that it appears to have been cut, without closing off the ends to prevent fraying with use. The fringe is short, which I also think gives it a cheaper look. However, I don't have $300 to spend right now on a nicer one, and since I used the one I had prior to this mostly for show, to look great draped across my sofa, I'm going to keep this, since the color is nice, and it looks OK from a distance. But I wouldn't recommend it at all, and if I had the money, I would be on-line right now, searching for an authentic one from Europe that is 100 percent mohair. There IS a difference!
